Introduction: The Christmas season is a busy time; you need to shop for gifts, ready your home for the seasonal guests, attend Christmas parties and more. There really isn’t much time to socialize or hang out with your friends so this year why don’t you host a gift wrapping Christmas party. This party will allow you time to visit with your friends, enjoy assorted appetizers and desserts, have a cocktail, listen to music and wrap all of your Christmas gifts. If you are longing for an easy and fun way to complete the gift-wrapping task then you should host a gift-wrapping party for your family and friends. Step 1 Pick a date for your gift wrapping party. Select a day that will work with your holiday schedule. Since weekends are usually a busy time for all, you may want to pick a night during the week. An after work party is always fun, you could schedule the party for 6:30 to 9:00. That would allow time for everyone to get a plate of food, wrap gifts and chat with each other. Step 2 Send out the invitations ten days before the party. Ask your guests to bring gift wrapping, scissor, tape, bows, pen and gift tags. Suggest that they call or email you with the RSVP by a certain date. When you know how many guests are coming to the party you will be able to plan the portions for your menu and you will know how much space is needed to accommodate all of the presents and your guests. Step 3 Plan your menu for the party. Decide if you want to offer a light menu of assorted appetizers served with beverage and Christmas cookies or you may want to offer a party platter. You decide on what you would like to serve your guests. Step 4 Decide where you will host the party. If the weather is warm you could set the party up on a patio or on a screened in porch. If the weather is cold you would set up in a large room or basement. If the space in the room is limited you would then remove some of your furnishings. Step 5 Determine if you need to provide extra table space or seating. If your room is big enough and you have adequate seating then move on to the next step. However if you have concern about providing accommodation then call your friends about borrowing tables or chairs or rent a banquet table and chairs form your local party supplier. Step 6 Set up the room the night before the gift wrapping party. Clear your counter in the kitchen as the counter space can be used for the food presentation. Check to see if you need anything from the store. Place a small table off to the side. This table will hold extra supplies: tape, scissors, gift tags, bows, pens and gift wrap. Offer a limited supply. Step 7 Turn on the music and light your Christmas decorations one hour before your guest arrive. Check that your home is ready to welcome your guests.
