Make A Delicious Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie

This chocolate chip ice cream pie is unbelievably delicious. It will be a favorite of children as well as adults.

You can hard freeze it for later or simply place in the freezer until it's time for dessert.

You'll Need:

1 quart chocolate chip soft ice cream

1/2 cup of chocolate syrup1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

2 cups of rice cereal (like rice crispies)

1/4 cup of sour cream

An 8 inch pie plate

Step 1. Lightly grease pie plate bottom and sides with butter

Step 2. Combine chocolate syrup and chocolate chips in a small microwave safe bowl.Microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds  Stir well until smooth and set aside 1/4 cup of the chocolate mixture.

Step 3. Combine remaining chocolate mixture with the cereal rice in a medium bowl. Stir until cereal is coated with chocolate. Place the mixture in the bottom of the pie plate and press into the bottom and up the sides creating a pie crust. Freeze for 15 minutes or until firm.

Step 4. Combine the sour cream and the chocolate mixture that was set aside, in a small bowl and mix well. Spread half of the softened ice cream in the pie plate over the crust. Drizzle the remaining sour cream mixture over the ice cream. Freeze the pie covered for 1 hour or until firm.

Tip Dipping your knife into a hot bowl of water will make cutting easier
